オランダからの報告

オランダではPCV7の接種が2006年4月からスタート。

2歳未満のIPDは60％、65歳以上のIPDが13％減少。

一方で、PCV7に含まれない肺炎球菌によるIPDが増加傾向にある。

コメント：

高齢者のIPDが減少していることは特筆すべきであろう。

しかし非ワクチン株の症例が若干増加している。今後、10価、13価のワクチン導入となるであろう。

これらの流れは、数年後に日本でも確認されるはずだ。

今後日本では「細菌性髄膜炎をみたことがない」小児科医が増加してゆく。
